The Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan that has been on a roll at the China box office seems to have finally slowed down. After crossing the Rs. 100 cr and Rs. 200 cr mark within the Chinese market, the film directed by Kabir Khan seems to have slipped in ranking with the release of two new films.
In fact, on its fifteenth day at the China box office, the business of Bajrangi Bhaijaan has managed to record just USD 0.92 million [Rs. 5.98 cr]. With this the total collections of Bajrangi Bhaijaan at the China box office stands at USD 32.10 million [Rs. 208.89 cr]. This sudden drop in collections is being attributed to the release of two new Hollywood flicks viz. Tomb Raider and The Shape of Water that have occupied the first and second spot on the daily highest grossers list within the Chinese market.
Though currently the collections of Bajrangi Bhaijaan have dropped, the film still continues to run in China but at a much diminished rate. Now all that remains to be seen is whether the business of the film manages to reach the Rs. 230 cr mark.
