Deepak Tijori had written to censor board chief Sharmila Tagore complaining about the "mental torture" he went through over getting his film Khamosh cleared. And Sharmila Tagore had apparently promised Tijori that she would look into his complaint. "After asking for a screening nth time, Mrs. Tagore did not bother to watch the film, only a panel with the guidelines made in the year 1958 did," informs Deepak. "People who are judging the movies of this nation are a bunch of illiterates with no knowledge of cinema, so one can't even make them understand," he adds. Tijori maintains that the cuts were unwarranted as the characters in the lovemaking scene were completely covered and the bathing scene showed a partially clad Rakhi. "They asked me to totally cut this off and the other sexual content in the film, though these portions form part of the narrative." He is also irked by the fact that his film has been awarded 'A' certificate even after the several cuts. " I would like to know where was their 1958 guidelines when they passed all these recent movies? They are singling me out because I made noise," says Deepak. However after all this gung-ho with the censor board, Deepak Tijori is forced to comply with the wishes of the board and will be releasing his movie Khamosh - Khauff Ki Raat on April 15. Whatever the consequences of the whole controversy, this one has brought an end to the catfight between Rakhi Sawant and Kainaaz; now that there are no scenes with sexual content, we believe both the ladies will be equally invisible in the movie.
