There is no doubt VIVAH is a complete family attractor and entertainer. Rajshri's past films were of the same suggestive theme in previous films like, "Hum Saath Saath Hain" and the debut film of monsieur Salman Khan, "Maine Pya Kiya." The biggest question for every film is usually, "Did the film live up to expecatation? As a matter of fact, YES it did.
While the first half had more of the traditional male's parents meets female's parents, the second half carried more of the emotional scenes. Without giving anything away, I would say films like Vivah should be made more often rather than then handful of violent and masala flicks.
Overall, the performances for every single character left a mark. There was not one character who was sidelined. Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao acted phenomenal. In fact, they are being referred to as this generations "Srk and Kajol." They share great chemistry on-screen.
Anupam Kher and Alok Nath being the fathers of Shahid and Amrita also acted great. In addition, every other actor within the film acted great. including Mohnish Behl in a really special appearance.
