3.5 Very Good

Taare jameen par comes as a refreshing experience to the connosures of good music not because of big names that are associated with it but because of the simpliciy which reflecs n each and every song of the movie. TJP also has feeling of deja vu as it reminds of the same feeling which we experienced listening to some of RDB songs.

Top of my charts comes the awsome creation by SEL "Maa". Maa is one of the most simple but most beautiful creations which i have heard in in recent times. Shanker has always been a part of my fav 3 current singers and here he again proves it why. In song which is more of a prose than poetry, shanker never lets it feel that there is an abrration of rhythm.

My next favourite is another solo of shanker i.e. the title track. The song with minimal of background score gives full potential to shankar to again how his class which was already proved. The song is deep down into the herat to tast long in our memoirs. Prasoon joshi also

Kholo -2 is another track that is different and special. Raman mahadevan definately reminds us of shanker and did justice to this song. The work that SEL has done with guitar in start and then moving on to high pitch "tu chal kahin...." goes on to show the variety they have put in the track. Superb track.

"Bum bum bhole" carries the simplicity that is omnipresent throughout the album. Shaan is regular but special mention should go to prasoon joshi for the lyrics where he shows his mind's reach thinking of what is not and why is not. A situational song which does appeal due to it's lyrics.

Rest of the tracks are not that appealing, however, not bad as well.

In all TJP is an album that that might not set the charts on fire but for people looking for good music here is the refuge.
