Well...when i went in to see the movie, i have to say as much as i was excited, i did not expect…  

Well...when i went in to see the movie, i have to say as much as i was excited, i did not expect too much from it. Thought it was going to be one of those movies where the under dog comes from no where, and takes the show. I was pleasently surprised. I think it was a very simple concept and story line, but the way director Sidarth Raj Anand has dealt with the story line, i mean the execution and screen play, he was able to convey a very mature message here. Actually a couple of them, one being you never know when you are going to loose all, and one to never give up and always be your man, ofcourse in the midst of it all there was the family pressures, how you change when you become a family man, and the desperation you feel when you can't provide. Finally, after a long time a movie that was shot entirely in the us but did not show that just because they live there they will have a totally lavish house to live in, and treated the abroads as any other locaiton in India. On a technical note, the direction was superb. The director was in the skin of his characters, knew what he wanted. The race sequences were suprisingly well executed. The cinematography was beautiful. Specially the song "Ab To Forever" and "Meray Shona". You feel that the team understood each others language. The performaces were very good, special mention to the child artists, specially the girl. Saif was in good form, but it was because Rani was complimenting him immensely, through out. The only actual time when you see Rani's character as not RV's wife was in her little outburst when she reveals their financial situation to the kids. Another person who needs mention here is Javed Jafferi, complete natural, his role and performance is as important as Saif's, it's like they are two lead males. The Music was very good, and complimented the story really well, basically situaitonal songs. Which shows that Sidarth being a young director had the guts to do it. Most youngsters would like a commercial soundtrack, his was commercial too to an extent but you can see that the story was the first priority, and not record sales. On the whole, i would recommend this movie to all of you. Out and out family entertainer, kids will love the car races and all driving sequences (taxi ones), youngsters will feel upbeat and a rush of adrenaline in your system, which will make you want to be a somebody (i felt it), while the older people would be able to relate to the family financial situaitons, and how egos are broken when your child in hungry. Now you might think, that the movie is getting the hype because of the big stars, but once you watch it you'll know exactly why these big starts are this big. GO FOR IT!

I m sure people who felt this movie isnt good mst go n slap their choices...coz they are fit to watch movies like Dhoom n more senseless stuffs..Tara Rum Pum teaches u bigges lesson in ones life---never to b over confident ... This is very nicely executed film. Saif is best..Rani makes acting look so easy and by far she is the best of actresses we have today.She looks gorgeous too..Cheers to kidoos who are confident and worthy of praise..Music is good too...Overall its a must watch movie...People who wont watch wil miss big time..Strongly Recomended!!!!

you have to credit it to yashraj... no matter how their film turns up in the final product, they know the marketing strategy to grab hold of ones attention and make them shell those extra money to get an advance booking in a multiplex.. but as in with last year's FANAA, i was in the end disgusted on being so gullibe in this 21st century.. the movie cicked off really gud, with occational speed-breakers, with the dream launch as a race care driver from a small time guy, fro whoom the nation is almost crazy.. the love story is good too though i sincerely felt that the songs could have been much much better, especialy being a yashraj product(there it goes again!). and not to mentiion Rani's wacky hair-styles. plzz give me a break. i was hardly over so dressing sense in Baabul. The race car sequences are beatifully shot, thanx to brilliant production values by Yashraj (again!). Saif and Rani are both likeable in their moulds and so the story as it moves into family side with the two most adorable kids(again!) who do know how to act. But then the problem starts. The accident followed by more failures in race, due to some fear of another accident (what///???) and eventually reducing them to sell their big bunglow (i didnt knew they had them in the newyork city, arn't they on the outskirts??). Its still passable till here. But the real panic button is pressed with ma and pa telling bachcha party that they are part of some reality show where they have to live like raggers. Give us a break. --The nation hert-throb being getting unnoticed every single time when he drives a taxi for living, --The ma who is so beautiful (as all the famous people said) is givin piano lessons for living, --The son picking food from dustbins (takin it as part of rality show, he want pa to win the prize) to fill his stomach. --And above all, the family is poor, they dont have money for 2 meals a day and are living in a very poor household (well tht what they want us to belive with all those fully decked up furniture, expensive woodwork, amazingly lit roms)-- they all wear designer clothes nevertheless. Did i ever mention its a yashraj product

What wrong with all these people. Same typical Yash Chopra movie. Rona dhona and still people is putting like superb performance. Or is it everyone has made up their mind that no matter what, we will put a grand positive feedback and review for every yash chopra movie. OK the technicnal part was excellent matching with Talladega Nights ( not Days of Thunder). But story, haven't we seen it time to time.(you figer out the movies on similar platform). Part of Talladega Nights is similar except here Rani the wife doesn't leave the hubby Saifu.
