This is easily the best movie ive EVER seen!!!! and trust me: ive seen some GREAT movies in my lifetime!!! first of all, the story! it is simply TOUCHING! u cant help but cry at the end of the film and just clap for such a BEAUTIFUL story [and the execution of it]! Now, to the actors! ALL of them r SUPERB! EVERY single actor puts in the PERFECT performance!...[from the 9 total actors that portray each of the main 3 characters: Jamal, Salim, & Latika to Anil Kapoor to Irfan Khan to Saurabh Shukla to Mahesh Manjrekar...AWESOMEEEE!!!!] I really cant single out just one actor...they were all AMAZING!!! Arguably, the biggest highlight of the film [along wit the acting & story] is its direction [by Danny Boyle]! i remember watching Sunshine and thinking "what a boring frickin movie!"...but what a revelation he has been with this effort...u dont get bored for a SINGLE MOMENT! [maybe some of that credit goes to the editor]...FANTASTIC is the only word to describe it! but sorry guys...maybe thats not even the biggest highlight of the film as A.R. Rahman's music is yet another contender! all the bacground scores and the tracks on the OST r something to really cherish from Rahman! my personal favorite has to Latika's Theme as it made me cry in the end when Jamal finally achieves his destiny [Latika]! It's one MAGICAL piece of work!!! all the other songs r also FABULOUS!!! in all, this is one film that EVERYONE should watch AT LEAST once [especially if yur indian]!!! It'll make u cry out loud and it will also make u laugh out loud...while keeping u at the edge of yur seat at the same time! how many movies do u kno that can do all of that?! this is honestly a ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME experience! if u havent seen it yet, GO WATCH IT...NOW!!!! I would like to add one thing: All these bollywood films that we make practically go unnoticed by the audiences of the rest of the world [especially the US]...here, a white guy [Danny Boyle] makes an UNFORGETTABLE and ASTONISHING Hollywood film wit an indian story, an indian cast, and indian locations...and it is being considered the frontrunner for the Oscar Best Film Award!!!! Does this say anything at all about how bollywood should make its damn films?!?! I'll leave it here for u guys to answer!
