Because the movie lacks the most important factor that was in the original. That is the Intelligence of the hero to overcome the hurdles and solve the cases (for istance when Anushka's Chain is lost, Suryah tells her where she might have missed it). Hindi Singham looked mostly like Gangajal 2 to me rather than the remake.
