What can i say better luck next time SLB.This music is not going to work.Lack of accuracy and consistancy are the disadvantage of this album..

slb and composer monty sharma had created magic with their previous outings together in "devdas" (theme music) and the soundtrack of "black". it was inevitable that they would team up for a complete album, especially after the alleged tiff between bhansali and protege ismail darbar.
the result is "saawariya". the songs are melodious, classy and above all, pure.
each song has its own soul, so to say. the title track, "saawariya" is definitely the pick of the lot! what a feeling! newbie shail hada 's voice is set to be the order of the day.
simple and hummable lyrics only help this song, which is filmed on ranbir kapoor. the "reprise" version only tells volumes about the singer's quality of voice. charming! "masha-allah", "thode badmash", "yoon shabnami" and "daras bina nahin chain" only add to the powerful soundtrack; each song crooned mellifluously and meticulously by the respective singers. the arrangements in the latter two songs are simply awe-inspiring. the remaining tracks are soothing, but lack that "X" factor which hooks one on to a song after the first hear. kunal ganjawala has rendered some songs beautifully, while richa sharma and another new find parthiv gohil make strong statements with their classically-based melodies. in entirety, the album has a pleasant old-world charm to it. great work, this! ****/5 drop in a line at karnjain@gmail.com with your views..

Saawariya is sanjay leela bhansali's 5th outing. Lot of hype is going on around saawariya and om shanti om. Im a very big fan of shahrukh khan an have a very good ear for music. No doubts om shanti om is a very good album but saawariya takes the lead. All the songs , all the songs are great. The music by monty is very soothing.the lyrics by sameer pulls it off. comeone now, chabeela is great. saawariya title track is excellent and yoon shabnami is mind blowing. Sawar gayi is so touching and sonice to hear. I dont have any doubts this is the best album i have heard since veer-zaara. Saawariya is simply awesome. Kab se khadi main tohri atariya, beet naa jaye o saawariya, saari umariya....another one, chand ko bharma gaya, tujhko dekha to sharma gaya...You need to have a good understanding of music to appreciate saawariya and saawariya is too good, simply too good.

My favorites are title track and Chhabeela and Daras. it will get more popular with the videos and when the movie is out. But really missing the Ismail's tracks. Well also Monty rocks....

guys,first thing is stop comparing oso and saawariya.,both are really different type films....coming to songs,,its awesome...plz i request to hear the songs with patience,,bcoz bhansali is working on it from past two years ,he is not a fool to make songs which are not at all good to hear and 0.5 ratable songs....he has made the songs suitable to the situation and he has always made it....each and every song has got a classical touch,guys havent u people got tired of hearing drum beats....yoon shabnami,jab se tere naina is really awesome and enjoyable....daras bina nahin chain,sawar gayi,touches ur heart and perfect title track.......what else can u expect.......
