RACE is a saucy, fast, no-brain thriller. U've to just watch the movie! Its very difficult to put the story again on paper. I found it so difficult to narrate it to my friends.... coz the plot is so shallow, its only the twists and turns that keep the movie going. Great cinematography, cool music and decent action makes Race a clearly watchable movie, further more, if u're in a small group.

It requires guts to choose a subject and genre called 'Thriller' as its necessary to keep the audiences glued to their seats and if you are best on it then it should be 'edge of the seat'. But the big question is whether Race succeeds in doing so ... well yes ... and it does big time. When it comes to Thriller .. there's only one ..err .. two names that rule Bollywood and thats Abbas Mastaan ... The director duo right from Khiladi to Race now has won hearts of millions .. About Race, I would say the director duo returns a big time after Humraaz. You cant take off your eyes from the screen for a minute .. there are twists ... and the twists are so good that everytime it comes as a hard shock to the core .. everytime it catches you unaware .. the credit also goes to Screenplay .. Music is another remarkable thing and so is cinematography ... the locales of durban are so breathtaking that you would just utter 'woww' .. Acting wise .. I found Akshay the best ... I guess he is maturing with each and every movie, Saif was phenominal .. does his job fine .. Anil Kapoor again states that its not age its your work that counts .. he is truly remarkable .. Bipasha oozez and so does Katrina .. you find Sameera sometimes irritating, sometimes interesting.

Race is a boring thriller which did not grip for more than half an hour. there were too many twists…  

Race is a boring thriller which did not grip for more than half an hour. there were too many twists so much so that the movie went on for approximately 2 hrs and 45 mins. for me a thriller should be tried to be made in 2 hours flat. if not then atleast the story should be gripping. there were boring performance, not so funny performance, and immature perfortmances by not so immature actors. a few songs were just dumped in for a specific kind of audience. for the role of the investigating officer an actor like piyush mishra should have been cast. sameera's role was just unnecessary. an actor like anil kapoor is wasted. saif is too stylish in the film, but no strong dialogues or scenes given to him. bipasha is average. after brilliant perormances in APAHARAN and CORPORATE this one was passable. Katrina should really improve her acting skills. enough of her glamorous roles. the action of the film was the talk of the town before the movie released, but where was the action. there were just 1 horse racing, the saif scene to save bipasha (what an age old action sequence. his re-entry was a dampener). the only saving grace of the movie is akshaye khanna. he was brilliant as the cunning and jealous brother. his facial expressions, his dialogue delivery has added a new freshness to his role of negative character. direction is average. camera work is ok. nothing new from the action department(the climax is still ok). songs gave me a biiig yawn. and ya bipasha basu's body double was used in the intimate scene with saif. these things shuld be taken care of as the audience is not so dum. it should look real.

The best thriller ever from Abbas-Mustan's. A thriller is about the twists. This has a twist every 15 minutes. Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, and Sameera Reddy all did a brilliant job. The photography was brilliant - especially when they took the camera through the barrel and they showed the final car race. The action was amazing - hint hint - the car race in the end. The cinematography excellently portrayed all the twists in an understandable manner. And last but not the least - the music. The music is pumping, the music is jumping, the music is rocking! I love that people like Pritam and K.K. are showing India what rock really is as oppose to that cheap stuff Himesh Reshammiya delivers. Every scene is carefully handled from the setting to the acting to the camera angles to the background music.
