race the most awaited movie of the year after tashan.does race lives up to the expectation,does race have substance or only style,the answer is yes it definitely lives up to the expectations and it has substance wid style.starting from the movie the scenery & the location chosen to shoot the movie is very sensible.the movie is fast paced,not a single dull moment in the movie.bets work of abbas-mustan after baazigar & khiladi.starting from technical results the direction is first rated,adventorous direction,story is just brilliant,screenplay does work very well in the movie,script is definately the chosen one,dialouges are classic not over boosted & not over retarted,cinematography is the best till now,thescenes are well picturised,the promotions are welld one,the costume are paefect macth for all characters,the producers have spend lot of money on this movie & i m sure they are getting it back b'coz its thye biggest succes of the year till now.action by allan amin is stuntfull,& keepa u on the edge of the seat,editing by hussain burmawala is first-class.coming to performances saif ali khan is the king.he has style he has acting he has action,he is a comlete hero of the film,akshaye khanna rules in his cunning performance,sure to get the award for best actor in negative role,anil kapoor does well,his acting is classy & comic timing is ok,among the girls bipasha does well,her acting is very admirable,katrina looks very sexy in her role & she carries her role very well,sameera is fine in her work little consistency in her wiork.overall a bright movie.best movie of the year.

Too predictable. Clearly a banal film. The downfall of Abbas-Mustan continues with this film. Previously, the director duo had copied stories from all sources and made them into commendable films, but now they have gone off-course. The film is an improvement from the horrible 'naqaab' but still a poor attempt from a talented director duo.

The only question I have for all who worked on Race is: When did Saif Ali Khan get so hot? He's so hot that it's surprising! But about Race, all I want to say to the Director is: It's not that necessary for the audience to open their mouthes at every scene, Is it? This is not what making exciting movies is all about! In the story when Saif has realized what his brother is planing to do shouldn't he just rent an assassin to get rid of him & cooperate with Anil Kapoor & give him his share? (it's just as simple as that!) what ever else happened was just a waist of time! but nevertheless it was something new.

Watched the movie on the date of release itself, lest somebody broke the suspense to me. After watching the movie I felt that it would be difficult to break the 'suspense'... not because it's a difficult one; just because there are too many! And that's exactly where RACE loses out. There are way too many twists...so much so that the audience becomes non-responsive or tends to predict it in advance. Performances- Saif...is great; Akshay...the same ol' stuff...tweaking his eyebrows... blah blah blah; Bips...Well, nothin out of the ordinary; Katrina...Again, nothin great (maybe her dancing was better than her previous movies...can say that about her acting, though); Anil Kapoor...Totally wasted; Sameera...Was she really necessary??? Some sorta 'arm-trophy' for the fruit-obsessed cop (who's more interested in enlarging his pocket than nabbing the crook!). Music- Pretty average and none of the songs are really picturized well...disappointed. 'Zara Zara' being the only one I kinda liked when it came to picturization (and no, not because of some "steamy scenes"...btw, were they really steamy?? lol). 'Pehli nazar mein' will sure have some admirers. :-)

Before entering the theater i had no great expectations... though Abbas and Mastan are unarguably the most talented duo when it comes to a thriller or something spicy..Race is steps ahead from his previous efforts...beautiful set up,songs,superb locations(South Africa),well handed plot,action,thriller....huummmffffff Movie starts on an introductory note and till the intermission there is nothing to jump off the chair...but the moment intermission is gone twists and turns are started.....n keep racking your already tortured mind till u give up...A time comes when u surrender,your attention and curiosity vanish and you start going with the flow not getting any support aor giving any support... performances....an outright win by saif ali khan.He is stylish and looks ten years lesser than his age...thanks to kareena... Akshay khanna ...usually at his best...heroines nothing special to do ...Sameera(crap)...go back to an acting school buddy...Anil is good but wastage... all in all a nice effort ...but you throw out evrything if swallowed more....thats what happened in Race...watchable.....depends on your mood...
