2.5 Good

Om Shanti Om:
If you want a break from your mundane routine of applying logic to everything, go for this movie. It's a entertainer in an aspect that it will give you disjoined, yet related snap shots of Indian Cinema. Some one truly said - It's a celebration of Indian Cinema. The script is a amalgamation of yester-years movie themes and characters, wrapped in current age excellent, digitilized visual effects and containing a brand banner of King Khan. I have been reading some reviews and hearing from friends regarding the movie and could make out that there are two kinds of people who go to watch SRK movie. The SRK- Lovers and SRK- Haters. Pretty genius distinction.. hmmm :). Needless to say, why a fan of an actor go to watch the movie but in case of SRK, its intersting to note what the haters say and think. Their hatred seems growing with each new movie that SRK releases and still they go ahead to watch it !! - Just to satisfy their inner notion of what possible worst characterization he could have performed.

The Songs are good and melodious. The digital effect used in the songs, is exceptional. Pre-interval has scenes which really don't contribute for building up the story but it's entertaining enough to keep you aligned to theme. Before the movie was released, it was already known to the world that the theme is that of re-incarnation and therefore, as I said earlier, even though the scenes really don't contribute to the build up of the story, it keeps you aligned as you already know that SRK is going to die and re-born. Interval appraoches quickly and re-incarnation is equally quick. The story team did not emphasize much on the re-incarnation aspect and SRK getting his memories back. As again, it was quick. It seemed that the movie was being pushed to get the villain to task as quickly as possible. The post-interval emphasize more on the plot of fixing up Arjun's character, who in a way and refreshingly, did appropriate judgement to the character. He was appropraitely supported by the wardrobe also.
The climax is not very innovative, however was not intiutive either. Not much action scenes, which could have been an interesting area to the story, given the iconic characters of the lead actors.
