And now after approx 10 years this trio is back with MY NAME IS KHAN . post KANK KJ's sense of directing a film has been changed remarkably. He is getting refined day by day . People were saying again a film on 9/11 or terrorist so i want to clearify this that it has nothing related to terrorism or portraying muslims as terrorist. This film actually reflects the true identity of ISLAM and Muslims. The first: B.C. and A.D. are designations used to label years in the Julian and Gregorian calendars. There's a third designation now - 9/11. Post September 11, the world stands divided. The Screenplay is the best part of the movie. It is soo nicely written that u dont even want to turn your head to other side . Dialogues in the film play a very important role in carrying the film forward The faith over KJ's is increased after watching the movie. Before MNIK i was just his fan now i find fan is the smallest word to describe my feeling for KJ. Being a HINDU he has researched soo much about ISLAM just for the film . He has pointed out those issues who even MUSLIMS film maker feel scare to raise..... BRILLIANT IS THE SMALLEST WORD YOU CAN USE FOR THE DIRECTION , ACTING OF SRK AND KAJOL Just One Thing to say about MY NAME IS KHAN...........If u are really proud to be muslim go and watch the movie to strengthen your belief in ALLAH<Photo 1>

What happens when SRK-Kajol-KJo reunites?? History gets re-written. And this time nothing is different. My Name Is Khan is winner all the way with stellar performances from Shahrukh Khan and Kajol and great direction from Karan Johar. So after 9 years they came together for a cause - humanity. Sometimes autism sometimes religious attacks, whatever happening in this film all relates to humanity. Although the film is "My Name Is Khan" but still speaks for all, echoes desires for all. Story goes on like this Rizwan Khan(SRK) is a patient of Asperger's Syndrome from childhood comes to know about good guys and bad guys from his mother (Zarina Wahab) and after her death, Rizwan moves to San Fransisco to his younger brother (Jimmy Shergill) and his wife (Sonya Jehan). There he meets single mother Mandira (Kajol) and after some talking and fun they decides to marry. They starts a new life when suddenly 9/11 happens. Everyone started to show disgrace because of their surname "Khan". Finally when their son dies due to religious attack, Mandira part ways with Rizwan. Rizwan with his love for Mandira goes in search of Mr. President of United States to prove that "My Name is Khan and I am not a terrorist". Finally all ends up well when Rizwan meets Barack Obama and latter approves his statement that he's not a terrorist. Rizwan and Mandira reunites. With excellent cinematography by Ravi Chandran, this film makes you laugh in 1st half and makes you cry and think in 2nd half. Shibani Bhatija scores 10/10 in the story and script department. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy scored good music too but sometimes background seem to be bit loud related to the scene. Now the man of the moment. Shahrukh Khan. He was more than superb and his performance was excellent and finesse. Kajol was charming as ever and the death scene of her son was a landmark. Overall 5/5...watch the movie.

It's just an OK movie...nothing special....it's sooo predictable...not a landmark in Bollywood for sure....and it has a sense of Deja Vu...and its superficial aspects superseed the good ones. It's very rare but by the mid of the movie my bum were already paining watching the movie, was pretty boring at some places...I guess the execution needed to be refined a lot. I guess movie in the same genre that can compared to MNIK is New York and the latter was much much interesting. Acting was good too, was good to see Jimmy Shergill in a mainstream movie again, though doesn't get much scope, the actress playing his wife was good too. SRK was good too but not exceptional, becoz it was showing he was acting. Kajol did not bring anything new in her acting but again it does not mean she was bad. Big B in Paa, Rani in Black and Hrithik in Koi Mil Gaya were far more convincing when we consider people challenged physically or psychologically. The songs were great though. The Film will be a Blockbuster no doubt becoz of the SRK power but being Blockbusters is not equal to the best movies. MayB the hype and love for SRK will make people love the movie but after watching it again after some months I doubt whether they will have the same opinion. From Mauritius, where the theatre was abt 30% full only. Probably will pick up during the weekend.

Expectations were really sky high as the hit trio were on with a different subject leaving typical things back. Yes, the subject was different. But it wasn't good enough. Barring Shahrukh Khan, there is nothing to talk about. Karan was witty with autism in his script which adds emotional element in the film. Yes, we all are with the fact that ALL MUSLIMS ARE NOT TERRORISTS. But the screen portrayal was pretty mediocre. Karan should be applauded for trying something new but he should work on giving proper shape to it. SRK delivered a very good performance. Kadz was almost sidelined. Jimmy shouldn't have done it (at least after Wednesday). SRK-Kadz jodi & the shivsena chapter will certainly boost up the collections of the movie, but this should have been a much much better film. Disappointed!
