With this movie, Priyadarshan seems to be finally heading the RGV way....rock bottom! Why do talented film makers like Priyadarshan HAVE to dish out such nonsense....just to earn a few bucks.Its like a prostitute selling her body...only in this case, Priyadarshan can't do that! I wish I could rate this movie below 0.5

Paresh ji wot a actor,he has his own standards and yet again he has proved dat no one can touch him..om puri fantastic supporive role and wot can i say about daring Akshay, he is a natural actor, he really deserves to b on top wid SRK and Akhshay Kumar, fantastic performance..Shobhana.just her presence in da movie made it even more colourful..wah kya adaayein hain Shobhana..loved her all da way through..wt i believe is dat if dis movie fails to b a blockbuster then it wud b true injustice wid it..i think media will b responsible for this..gr8 monoply of da media..movies like Sarkar Raj..OSO..are consider to b big hits jus coz shear presence of big names but dese types of movies wid gr8 entertainment are consider to b below avaerage eventhough dey shud be at da top of dese gr8 failures.

Priyadarshan did a magnificent job,akshay khanna n pareshrawal were brilliant.Genelia was awesome.Paresh Rawal ones more proved that he can carry any role with ease.Ompuri and paresh are very talented actors.And we have very few left of such actors in bollywood industry.

In cinemas this week is Priyadarshan’s Mere Baap Pehle Aap.The reason I have not referred this flick as a comic caper is because it’s not, and for a long long time the director actually fails to give the audience a decent laughing experience . The dialogues are a sorry mish mash of poor similes and misfitting metaphors. It takes half an hour from the start of the film for the first genuine chuckle and a little bit of confusion to set into the plot which has been an essential part of all most of the movies that Priyadarshan makes. But this film is not driven by confusion and mistaken identities, infact it is not driven by anything at all, infact it’s a lost ship. The story is very weak and I would have elaborated on it, but there is much to write about. A widower(Paresh Rawal) living with his younger son(Akshay Khanna), who starts getting crank calls from a girl(Genelia De Souza) whom he had ragged during his engineering college days. And all that the director manages to establish during the 80 minutes of the first half is that he wants his son to get married to that girl and also the skirt chasing ways of his friend (Om Puri) which induce some smiles (mind you not laughter) .But then you wonder why go through all this when the second half completely deviates from what was pointlessly established prior to interval. Now it’s not about the son and the cute girl but the father and his long lost love, although the latter parts do humour you more. The film was supposed be situationally comic but the situations are not comic enough and neither are the situations long enough to compel sustained laughter. This brings us to the editing which is lacking on two counts ,one that the film is half an hour too long and secondly scenes are not stacked together neatly with the sub plots not able to give enough impact. From the trailers it seemed like and I believe positioned also;as though this was another of the typical Priyan’s movie, but its not so, this movie suffers from identity crisis .What was this meant to be? A laugh riot or a feel good story about a son trying to get back his father his lost love or neither or perhaps both? I am sorry but this the weakest film that the director has made. Music had not created any pre release buzz and rightly so as it is just about average .As for the cast, all have been wasted hopelessly and they should be more selective while choosing films. And Akshay Khanna should be more experimental in the wigs he chooses to wear. I give a single star and a poor rating to Mere Baap Pehle Aap and you should skip the trouble of watching the movie. Its not worth it.

I think the movie was good - it had comedy, drama and a social message. Its better than priyadarsans garam masala, bhjul bhulayya. I dont agree with Taran's review..i sometimes doubt about this review. He gave 4 stars to Sarkar Raj and the movie is just average and its not just me...box office numbers can support my statement. One more example, he gave glowing review to Tashan's music and when he did the movie's review, he mentioned muisc as a weak link. C'mon Taran...stick to your guns... I recommend this movie to everyone...the movie definitely took a slow start since the analyst did give god review but with good word of mouth..it will pick up...

Come on, guys...This film is not a full comedy. Mere Baap Pehle Aap is a family entertainer. The film is about the relationship between a father and a son. Like other movies of priyan, the film is treated in a comic, humourous and hilarious manner. Just like Bhool Bhulaiya which is not a full comedy. It's a film which has a subject as well as entertainment value and humour. MBPA is a comedy film but with some flare of emotion and drama as well. As far as Akshaye Khanna's performance...he's fantastic and as always he never disappoints. He is as always superb. You will be surprised to see his new and fresh look. He is exceptional and marvellous!

guys...if u r not aware of the real side of priyadarshan,then please check out wikipedia on ur computer...just type--priyadarshan!! this guy has copied all the south hits or malayalam hits that are made from other directors...and does not even compensate them with a small sum for copiying all these remakes into hindi.its big time this man should stop copying films and create something of his own...what a shame!!
