3.5 Very Good

If one were to watch this movie with zilch expectations, they would actually end up liking it! Unfortunately, my expectations were sky high because the promos, songs, and other forms of promotion made the very seem very enjoyable and good. Don't get me wrong, the movie was not bad. It just wasn't as good as I expected it to be. For one, Vidya Balan just did not suit the role at all. She was incredible in Parineeta, very good in Bhool Bhulaiya, and very tolerable in Hey Baby, but she was just not meant for Kismat Konnection. I really wish Aziz Mirza would have given the opportunity for a lesser known, attractive, talented girl who suited the role - lets say someone like Minisha Lamba. Other actresses who were ideal for the role were Genelia (although you cant really blame Aziz Mirza for not casting her since she became famous much after the shooting of Kismat Konnection commenced), Amrita Rao, and Ayesha Takia. If the movie does manage to become a big hit, the one person who would benefit from this the most would be Shahid Kapoor. The movie revolves around him and his acting was very good.
