kidnap is a good movie. the critics i believe have analysed it too harsh. yes it ain't the best of movie of the year, but nor is it the worst movie of the year. every film has flaws. in kidnap i believe the script was weak, and that brought the film itself down. kidnap was interesting enough, the flashbacks allowed the responder to understand the concept of revenge. what i didn't like in the film, was that i think Vidya Malvade and Sanjay Dutt performance was a little to fake, the converse looked forced, and reluctant. imran's acting was great, he lived up to the role. Minissha Lamba performance to was good, yes it looked she did try too hard at times. her character - a good one, but the lack of clothing i think just made it less realistic, what chick would wear such inviting clothes to a kidnapper unless she did want to get raped? The game imran plays with manissha when she tries to stab him is breathtaking!
The chase sequence between Imran and Sanjay is expertly executed - some damn good stunts, imran looked like spiderman the way he jumped down the bulidings.some bits of the film could have been refined.but on whole the moral of the story was good, i truly did enjoy imran and sanjay's final scene together - that brought out the notion and motive for revenge and ultimately the moral of the story was brought forward as was the reason for the game. i think the film did 'grip' the audience if the audinece watch it for purely entertaining purposes, the story and acting of imran live up to some expectations. on whole a good movie and worth watching.
