Mr Ashutosh Gowariker once again did an extraordinary job after Brilliant Masterpieces like Lagaan and Jodha Akbar. this is a true story of the Chittagong Revolution that happened in 1930, which till now i was totally unaware of, thanks to Mr Gowariker he is just brilliant. story of this movie is brilliant, its written extremely well. the true story from the history is being adapted very well. really happy that finally seen a wonderful movie. Screenplay is superb really good. Dialogs are written very good very patriotic. This movie seriously rise patriotism in you, it really effects you so deeply. Performances wise its excellent, Abhishek Bachchan is good if not great in the movie, decent performance by him, he looks good though in this role. Deepika padukone is good, she is improving really well she performs very well and do full justice to every character she plays. other supporting actors like Sikander Kher and other guys in the team they were pretty good. and yes the teen agers were really good too. t's a film of immense significance which evokes a colossal patriotic fervor. music of this movie is really soothing and sweet songs, i love the music of this movie. this movie will not appeal to those who just like to watch those masala type or comedy or romantic bollywood movies, its different, a true heroic movie that will unfortunately not set the Box Office record like those silly movies do but will definitely have its significance on those who see it. its a movie made once in a long time. Two thumbs way up. editing of this movie is really good, not boring at all. once it kicks off never stops so it will not be an annoying or boring history movie but trust me its an entertaining movie. the way everything have been put up its entertaining as well as pretty serious at the same time. Cinematography is very good, art direction is good too the 30's time period is shown good. so are the costumes and everything else. a near perfect masterpiece made in masterclass way, its a brilliant epic thought provoking and patriotic movie. just outstanding, superb movie. excellent movie. Must watch.

Based on “Do and Die” by Manini Chaterjee, this film is about the Chittagong uprising in 1930. The director remains faithful to the original plot and never puts anything new to the subject and so the film successfully remains consistent in gripping the attention. Abhishek Bachchan is excellent as the heroic character and Deepika adds a great value. Sikander Kher is very good but in small character its Vishaka Singh who stands out. Both Deepika and Vishaka have nothing to do in this film but whenever they appears they delivers their best. All others are also very nice in their respective roles especially the teenagers. Sohail Sen’s music isn’t great but the title song and the music he adds to “Vande Matram” is simply great to listen. Yes the film has its share of flaws as the biggest is the 2.50hrs running time which should have been sharply edited because the director uses whole pre-intermission to establish many characters and family bonding of some of them so that he can utilize the bonding for the emotions in second half. The emotions are not so effective keeps you blank at some time. But despite such flaws this film works for the honesty the director invests and he never gets tired of putting a soul to the story, and he even succeeds. His direction is fantastic because he doesn’t only concentrates on Abhishek but the characters. The first hour gets bit slowly because the narration doesn’t have anything but the second half dramatically picks the momentum and you cannot take your eyes from the screen and you. There is too much of action that constantly keeps you at the edge of your seats and for this reason it is a must see film for everyone who should never forget these revolutionaries and who have forgotten this chapter with the history. It’s appealing and entertaining simultaneously. Thumbs Up to Ashutosh who opens many things with this film. Review: 3.5/5

I am not sure why people are trying to pull down talented actor like Abhishek. He has done a terrific job in KHJJS much like in Raavan & Delhi 6. People should review film not try to criticize only actor because they don't like him for some reason(jealous?). Coming to movie review, terrific job by Ashu n team. Hats off to come up with movie on this untoold part of history. Loved it. I recommend this movie to every Indian & even westeners to know how India's amrtyrs have sacrificed their lives to get independence. Those who hate Abhishek, I will say ok, don't go to theatres but whenever it releases on TV watch it if you are Indian. I am sure at that moment you will feel ashamed that you didn't watch this movie in theatre. For unbiased cinegoers, this is a must watch cinamtic experience! Direction, Music,Acting,everything super..
