4.5 Excellent

As a die-hard fan of AR Rahman, I was waiting for some of his work with a lot of anxiety, mainly because he hadn't released music for quite a long time in 2007 (after Guru, and before Jodha Akbar). JA's music was great, but Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na was what I was waiting for. This album is exactly what ARR is capable of, meaning that this album is fantastic.

Like always, ARR has gone around and tried different sounds for this album, resulting in some amazing songs. "Kabhi Kabhi Aditi Zindagi", for example, has a really nice and fresh sound, and one can instantly fall in love with it.

"Pappu Can't Dance" has to be one of the most fun songs I've ever listened to. I didn't quite get this song the first time I listened to it, but after some more listening, the beat and everything about the song became so addicting. The promotional video for the song is really fun to watch as well

My favorite of the lot, however, has to be "Tu Bole". I didn't like this song the first time I listened to it, but then after some more tries, the song instantly grew on me, and I can't press stop on my player anymore. The jazzy sound in this song is so peaceful and creates such an amazing atmosphere.. this one is the winner.
