I like my love storys but this wasn't a love story to remember and not one I will remember after a few days. A TYPICAL story, it is boring and the performances are weak - especially Sonam! Can she deliver any emotion or dialogue without looking bored? Imran isn't too bad, especially in the second half but he over acts in the first half. I was utterly disappointed that this film was a KJ banner film!

OMG this movie was too cute- but a person who isnt a lovey dovey romantic like me, prlb, wouldnt like it, because it really is one of those, i know whats going to happen kind of films, its really expected, and well theirs no surprises. But i loved it, because im a romantic at heart :) So guys that dont give a crap, should most likely not go watch this movie.

I Hate Love Storys... is all of that and more!... Not only is it cliche but its predictable in STYLE!!! ok nw ur confused, am i for or against.... well thats just wat IHLS is, one moment u think, oh god! nt again, this is sooo cliche, the next ur like, hey wait a minute thats cool, nt exactly wat i expected.... J(Imran Khan) is an asst director to Veer who is a main stam Bollywood director, King of LOVE!... J hates his job and everything related to those four letters L O V E. He flirts, dates, dances n drinks with girls, but serious relationship, NO WAY! Enter Simran... She loves Pink, owns every love related book and movie and has a fiance named Raj!!!!!! yes, well the last one really is a kicker. Raj n Simran are perefct for each other, he is rich, successful, decent, lovable, well-mannered... bored already?... I dont blame u ;)... Sonam is Veer's new art director... and has J with her for help. She hates his guts, but they become frnds. Turning Point: Simran forgets all abt Raj n the connsequences of her action, and goes and tells J, that she loves him... He is shocked, lil upset and very confused. He tells her that he nvr believed in the stupid 4-letter word to begin with and always wanted to be just friends. In the second half, Simran feels like a fool, mends things with Raj and keeps a formal relation with J. J is irritated by the whole situation and wants his best frnd back as before. He doesnt realise wen, but in his pursuit of Simrans frndship, falls in love with her. Thinking its little too late, thinks of giving up, but then as a true hindi film hero shud, he follows her out of the country to confess his love. But sees Raj n Simran happy and shortly to be married. 2 proposal scenes, a couple odd airport scenes, 2 songs and 1 dream sequence later, he goes ahead and gives the much awaited, predictable, yet, really sweet and fun happy ending to this awesome luv story...

Ok really and truly...so far up until IHLS came out, i was seriously giving up on Bollywood. I'm honestly so close to stop watching their movies and just stick to the soaps. First of all, more than half of the actors we have these days are garbage... secondly, the movies just suck in my opinion... they're just losing it.probably because to me, they're trying to be a bit too modern and are just completely failing but whatever, that's not the point right now. Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor though...are the ones who BROUGHT me back. this movie might be totally cliched and completely predictable from the title itself but i've finally come across a new movie with a young feel, great music, and decency. Without having seen Raajneeti yet, because I also have great expectations from that, I would consider IHLS to be the best movie of 2010 so far. That's all. Not because of it's story...the whole girl loves boy boy doesnt love girl girl goes away boy loves girl crap is common...but just the way they PORTRAYED that story was great.......freakin hats off to Imran and Sonam. I hadn't paid much attention to Sonam before this movie, but now because of her I have some hope for Bollywood's new actresses. As mentioned in another user review, Imran and Ranbir are the future dominating actors of Bollywood. Hopefully Sonam can make a place for herself as well.
