EXPECTATIONS - My best music director-duo in Bollywood, Vishal-Shekhar, giving a ton of mind-blowing songs in past got disappeared after "Aladin". After a long period, they come back again with "I Hate Luv Storys". So,all eyes were on this album release. Finally, songs came out but in an unexpected manner(Before music release), Piracy Zindabad, ya?. Let's come to the music, it will surely burn the dance floors this year with its title track. Other tracks are also very appraisal. 4 romantic tracks, 2 sad tracks and 1 techno track which is the title song itself - adds up to one of the authentic albums of this year named "I Hate Luv Storys".
1.I HATE LUV STORYS - The Title track of the movie which is purely against love indicating to the mentality of the hero, Imran Khan. Peppy Music, Great Vocal by Vishal Dadlani, Non-Romantic Lyrics by Kumaar. This song has everything what it needs to be a superhit. so, nothing more to say.
2.JAB MILA TU - We've heard it in it's promo and its cool. With a touch of "Jaane Kyun" by Dostana, this track is same likable just like Jaane Kyun. But vocals by Vishal dadlani is the most likable portion in this track.
3.SADKA - "Give Me Some Sunshine" lad Suraj Jaggan and mahalaxmi Iyer comes together for this Romantic Track. We never had a track like this in past from Vishal-Shekhar. So, it is very enjoyable to us hearing to a new type of rhythm. Vocals by both of them are good, Lyrics by Anvita Dutt - allover it's a nice track.
4.BAHARA(ALL VERSIONS) -
(i)ORIGINAL VERSION - Shreya Ghosal takes the control and sings very sweetly. It's like nobody else would've ever sung so greatly like her. Background vocals(Regional Song) by Sona Mahapatra are also very catchy. It's a beautiful romantic track with awesome lyrics by Kumaar.
(ii)CHILL VERSION - I don'y know why its called CHILL VERSION. If it's purpose is to make everyone chill then its wrong because its gonna hypnotise everyone wiith its naivety. Sufi Shahenshah Rahat Fateh Ali Khan sings this track like a Nightingale sings in the mild & silent night sky. Awesome is very small adjective to describe the song. So, its a warning that don't skip this track ever from your media player.
5.BIN TERE(BOTH VERSIONS) -
(i)ORIGINAL VERSION - After Giving some awesome tracks like "Mitwa", "Tum Mile - Rock" and "Tere Naina", "BIN TERE" keeps Shafqat Amanat Ali magic Unchanged. Great Rhythm by Vishal-Shekhar, Wonderful lyrics by Vishal Dadlani & Mind blasting vocals by Shafqat Amanat Ali & Sunidhi Chauhan - congesting all these qualities, this song is one of the most beautiful song toc ome out in this ace.
(ii)REPRISED - The Introductory Guitar reminds us "Iktara" from WAKE UP S!D and after that the song continues by Impressive vocal by Shekhar Ravijani. There is no touch of techno beats or Rock Music in this track, so it's a mild Unplugged Version of the original track. Having a wonderful rhythm, the reprised version also in marvellous.
There is also a Remix Version of "Bin Tere", which has hard techno beats and female voiced Engalish accents. Good Indeed.
VERDICT - 2010 proves to be another good year for music industry just like 2009. We are very lucky to live in the ace where such unique music composers are coming out with such great rhythms. "I HATE LUV STORYS" proves partly that Bollywood Music is no longer slave to Hollywood compositions or is not beneath them anymore. It has a chance to be the most successful album in 2010.
RECOMMENDED - BAHARA(BOTH VERSIONS), I HATE LUV STORYS, BIN TERE, JAB MILA TU
