Akshay Kumar is an actor who you can see on big screen more than anyone else in an year since he likes to do back to back movies. We pre occupy our mind when we go to an Akshay movie, we consider it to be a bit same like his other movies. The same happened with me when I entered the hall to watch Holiday. But once the movie started just got thrilled by it's pace, soon i realised it was not just anothet Akshay Kumar movie. The movie actually had a story

My own Review for Film : Holiday Ok, so it was first day last show for me at Jamnagar for the movie Holiday. I did not expect much when I went for the movie; however to my surprise it was even better then Special 26!!! Highlights of the movie: • Akki’s best movie till date. Top notch performance. In action and stunts nobody in the film industry is even near to him. However the real surprise was his acting. Really kudos to Akki. • Script and storyline of the movie is very gripping. However the timings of the songs tend to divert our attention slightly. So the love story part of Sonakshi and Akki can be edited and film length can be reduced. • Top class direction by AR Murugadoss. • Good little cameo by Govinda. • Hmm sonakshi is good in parts, she does not have much to do in the movie. • The casting of the villain (Sumeet Raghvan) should have been better. He does not look dangerous like Ronit in boss. Overall a top quality Thriller movie with gripping storyline and a great tribute to Indian Army. It is a must watch movie for everyone. I give it 4.5/5. A sure shot Block buster. Akki keep on doing this kind of movies. Sam

"Holiday-A soldier is never off duty", yes that is the complete title of the movie which is the remake of Tamil Hit film of 2012 "Thuppakki" staring Vijay and directed by A R Murugadoss. A R Murugadoss re-creates the same movie in Hindi for Bollywood as his second movie with Akshay Kumar after the blockbuster "Ghajani". Story

This time audience has been taken for granted. They didn't work very hard on content. I appreciate the concept and motto behind this film of showcasing the tough life of Army and Police. Even they have mentioned their names in dialogues, that is good. Dialogues are just OK. Screenplay is routine. If one person writes the screenplay of a thriller then job becomes very tough because you have to play the chess from both side but you have to give the feelings of audience that two smart persons are playing. Screenplay lacks this intelligence. Sometimes brain game ends as muscle game. A terrorist escapes from a person hold and he and his master executes the old plan!!? Protagonist plants his sister in place of the girl being targeted, so he could have her Dupatta for sniffer dog? He instructs his sister to borrow the would be victim Scooty, why does he not instruct her sister to ask for the would be victim Dupatta or any cloth? Makers just wanted to play the emotional game by showing this for dialogues sake and creating the thrill but they forget about the smartness. Rather than protecting the kidnapping victims, protagonist let them being kidnapped! How would he dead sure that he will rescue them without any foolproof plan? When he is cornered by Villain, without thinking a mind game he tried to plant him as a suicide bomber? Makers wanted to give a spine chilling thrill to audience but if all cards are open in a thriller then where is the thrill? The mastermind of terrorist is so cool minded that he wanted to provoke the protagonist by doing something drastic but in climax he got provoked by protagonist just for few dialogues? What type of this mastermind was? Love track was not required actually and you feel humor in love scenes than the love. Boy refuses for ring ceremony and girl believes him and becomes very sad without knowing the reason behind the refusal, even her character was bubbly. Performance wise Akshay Kumar is OK. Sonakshi Sinha looks pretty and performed well. Sumeet Raghwan as Sub Inspecter Desmukh is very good. Music by Pritam is good. Two tracks Aaj Dil Shayrana and sad song Ashaq Na Ho is very good.

Akshay Kumar is back after his last dud "Boss" and back with the two genres he does best, Action and Comedy. "Holiday: A soldier is never off duty" is an interesting take on the unexplored subject of Sleeper Cells. The plot is interesting and is executed well by the director. It is a refreshing dispatch from the usual films made on The Indian Army. The film is triggered when Captain Virat Bakshi played by Akshay Kumar, intelligently stops 12 serial blasts with his team. Thus ensues a cat and mouse game between the sleeper cell head played by Freddy Daruwala and Captain Virat Bakshi. The music is not up to the mark and the romance between Akshay and Sonakshi gives a few light moments. The chemistry between Sumeet Raghavan and Akshay Kumar is better than that between Akshay and Sonakshi. Sumeet Raghavan gives a good performance among the cast. Freddy Daruwala as the antagonist fails to leave an impression but the film is carried beautifully by Akshay Kumar who gives a superlative performance. He throws himself into the action sequences and performs them excellently, he has spot on comic timing and also gives a restrained performance when he is needed to. The actor is in top form here. Sonakshi Sinha doesn't have much scope. Overall, "Holiday: A soldier is never off duty" is worth a watch for its novel concept and makes one stand and salute the Indian Army. Go Watch IT!

Holiday 2014 - Akshay Kumar movie was really better version comparing with Tamil. All the scenes were excellent and superb in Hindi version. I am really hoping to see a second part of this movie. Actress Sonakshi also appeared in a better performance and appearance. Holiday 2 must be with a marriage of Akshay and Sonakshi. It should be a story of villain existence because he was shot only on chest and not on head. Villain should survive the shot and should implement revenge or so called sleeper cells in army or behind Akshay Kumar which makes Akshay remind of villain in his next part. Even the Villain role suits better for Vidyut Jammwal opposite Akshay Kumar. As now a days series of films are part of movie industry, so Holiday 2 should be come.

Although there have been many movies that have focused on terrorism but Murugadoss showcases how one soldier can make a pivotal difference. Movie also give a positive message that "where there is will, there is a way" With some awesome comedy timings, Akshay Kumar gives the movie the essential turn it requires at every mode. Holiday is definitely a captivating, and exciting watch to look out for!

The whole plot of the movie is compelling and finely directed by one of the finest director Murgadoss who gave us Gajini. Akshay's stunts are jaw – dropping and he's in top form and impressively leads the show. Finally Holiday is fierce and it leaves you clutching to the edge of your seat plenty of times. The climax is a spectacle to watch. The movie will keep you hooked to your seat till the end. Finally a role that Akshay Kumar should take up in all his forthcoming movie. Often criticised for his choices of role Mr Kumar has done some deep Character change which actually has work wonders with The Box Office Outcome........His Action is Flawless....Acting is Impeccable.......Adrenaline Rush Timing is umatchable......He actually convinced the audience with his acting.....He is our Desi Sherlock,Bourne.......!! Cinematography and Execution on Stunts are mind Boggling.....Greg Powell has shown his Metal.....Chases on Mumbai Street,Akshay jumpinh of the Roof top sequences,One on One Combats are Jaw Dropping......!! Also HOLIDAY has clever action.....Is not like Bollywood's usual Masala Action Flicks which has Zero Reality.....Action is convincing.....!! The only problem with Holiday was that it is a bit stretched......But it is quickly overcomed with Akshay's acting......So Guyz if you are in for an intelligent Film........HOLIDAY IS YOUR DESTINATION......Way to Go AKSHAY......!!
