Just watched GHAJINI, let’s make few things to be very straight, and before continuing we should clear these confusions. I read Taran Adarsh review on Tuesday, I was really confused by his rating, he rated it as 4.5/5, which really made me nervous, I was confused whether should I go for it or not, because he gave Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna also 4.5, he gave Om Shanti Om as 4, Karzzz as 4… and movies which really have something to offer in terms of content and script were rated below average, as Devdas he rated it as 1.5, Swades as 1.5 and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi as 2 stars. So, one could easily predict this person’s nature while rating the movies.
But GHAJINI is not that bad as I was expecting when Taran gave it 4.5, it was good to watch once at least. The story of the movie is not that powerful, but its Aamir and Asin who makes this movie special. Aamir is superb in his role, I like his performance, specially the romantic track, and when Kalpana was being killed, he was superb at that time. Asin is too good, she was so confident with her role. I am wondering what the hell Jiah Khan was doing in this movie, making things out of the world, crap performance, anyways for me GHAJINI is above average, but cannot be taken as a all time blockbuster, Aamir is good but it cannot over hide the loops of the movie, the story is not that powerful, the climax was easily predictable. Well we cannot say that its Aamir’s best performance till date. I think he has given much more before too. So GHAJINI can be added to his masterpiece, but cannot be stand alone as a masterpiece. Recommended… go for it and watch it but with not too much expectations, else it will not up to your expectations.
