CHAND SA ROSHAN CHEHRA is a teenage love story inspired from similar hit films. Samir Aftab and Tamanna play the lovers. They are childhood friends. Tamanna's father Kiran Kumar sends her to Switzerland as he does not like the attraction between them. When they grow up, Samir also gets an opportunity to go to Switzerland. Samir meets Tamanna and they fight as they don't recognise each other. Samir beats Tamanna in a dance competition and they become enemies. Tamanna gets Samir beaten up by a local boy. Samir vows to take revenge. Then they come to know that they are childhood friends. But Tamanna thinks that Samir loves another girl, and her father gets her engaged to another boy. But Samir clears the misunderstanding and takes the pledge that he would marry Tamanna in front of her father.

Production values are excellent. Karim Khatri's cinematography is eye-pleasing as Switzerland's locations are captured very well. Jatin-Lalit's music is the highlight of the film. It is melodious and mention may be made of 'Aage aage,''Jadu jadu,' 'Resham se bhi nazuk' and 'Pehli nazar.' It is a sweet love story of teenagers, but it is predictable.

Performance-wise, debutant Samir Aftab is handsome and looks hero material. Debutante Tamanna is also endowed with a photogenic face and shows promise. Other newcomers Apra Bhandari and Shabbir Ashraf are adequate. Kiran Kumar, Vijayendra Ghatge, Himani Shivpuri, Kishori Shahane, Usha Bachani, Talat Aziz, Usha Bachani and Aroon Bakshi provide able support. As the director, Shahab Shamsi does a fair job.
