Every actor, every film maker has his own style of delivering the staple product of cinema…This film surely wont be an exception to the foresaid principle..If it has Deol stamp in performances, then it has the typical Anil Sharma stamp in the narrative…It’s a well made movie which will appeal more to the people who think more from their hearts!! Its somewhat Lagaan meeting Gadar somewhere in the middle…It’s a story of the son of Punjab who seeks revenge for his humiliation of being a cheater through the arms of his son..It takes you on an emotional, patriotic, sporty & passionate trip all on a single ticket.
Dharmendra is the soul of the movie & has been used in right context this time. Bobby Deol is fine but could have been in better shape. Sunny Deol is no “Hrithik†in looks, but still says more than others through his eyes and pulls off another angry yet hearty performance. Katrina is there…Shilpa is also there…But its Kiron Kher who is almost there!! Kabir’s cinematography is of top quality. Music should have been better. Except title song none other appeals. Through the sport of boxing, Anil Sharma takes you through existing bonds in a Punjabi family along with tense undercurrents in relationships. The screenplay and direction compliment each other to the hilt. Though there was a scope for more crisp packaging. Commercialy film will do best business in North India & Overseas. A film from the heart which will touch the hearts- good one to watch…
