4 Very Good

Easily one of the finest albums not only of the year, but also by Vishal-Shekhar. Bachna Aye Haseeno stood out because one song (Khuda Jaane) was simply mind-blowing in an otherwise good album. Overall, Anjana Anjani achieves several high-points, with almost every song. I thought Bhula Diya by Mohit chauhan and Shruti Pathak is the best. It's a brilliant composition and such perfect fusion is witnessed after a long time. Next follows Hairat by Lucky Ali. The number is your ideal companion on a long drive, best played in repeat mode :). I feel good (Vishal and Shilpa Rao) is another favorite. I also liked the 2 title tracks. The only two tracks that are disappointing for me are Aas Paas Khuda and Tumse Hi. Though not bad compositions, they are predictable. And please can we either hear less of Rahet Fateh Ali Khan or then give him a variety of tunes to croon? He sounds the same and so do the tracks he sings! And Tumse Hi had me smiling because I could predict the tune, note-by-note as it played. Like I said, not bad compositions, but when compared to the other gems in this soundtrack, they fall pale! Still, a very good effort by Vishal-Shekhar. One of the best Vishal-Shekhar have delivered in their illustrious career and sure the best Sajid Nadiawala's banner has produced!
