I saw Jail first and then saw this -- i kind of predicted that no one will watch Jail judging from previous Bhandarkar productions. This movie made it into the top 10 for all time weekends and probably week as well --- but really its just because there was no other good movie that a family could go and see or a couple, etc.
The movie had mass advertisement, had a growing star in Ranbir and off course has Katrina -- everything just made people go and watch it
I liked the first half of this movie but as soon as Rahul (Upen Patel) is added into the mix - this movie takes a leap towards mediocricity (if that is even a word) -- it is just horrible.
The first half had a kind of looney tunes like humour which was actually quite decent -- Katrina needs to work on her acting -- she is never ever going to win anything apart from money but that is thanks to her gorgeous looks. Ranbir did as was required which was act looney.
The music as i reviewed before is just amazing and Atif rips through this album -- Tu Jaane Na and Tera Hone Laga Hoon are just awesome
Check out this movie for a laugh but if you have to decide between which movie you would rather go and see at the theatres i would still prefer this over jail but completely there is no comparison between the overall film -- Jail destroys this movie in every aspect except for entertainment and music -- Jail is a real life story while this was a fairy tale.
