Ilayaraaja’s daughter Bhavatharini passes away at 47; celebs pay their condolences

Ilayaraaja’s daughter Bhavatharini passed away at the age of 47 in Sri Lanka while she was undergoing treatment for her illness in the country. Many of her well-wishers, including several from the film fraternity like Kamal Haasan, Hansika Motwani, actor Prasanna, Simran Bagga, Silamabarasan, among several others as well as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and politicians from across several South states expressed their heartfelt condolences on social media.

Among the celebrities, Kamal Haasan penned a message for her in Tamil and wrote, “My heart is heavy. What can I say to our beloved brother Ilayaraja to console him. I humbly fold my hands. Bhavatarini's death is something that my heart fails to accept. Hopefully he is strong to take this all in. My heart goes out to him as I express my condolence to him and his family.”

 

 

Actress Hansika Motwani also tweeted, “My heart goes out to the Illaiyaraja sir family as they mourn the loss of Bhavatharini, a talented singer and beloved daughter. Her voice graced countless melodies, leaving an indelible mark on the music industry. May she find eternal peace”.

 

 

Silambarasan penned an emotional note and recalled their collaboration for a film together  as he said, “The voice that forever lives in the heart of people for its innocence and love! You were a pure soul! Gone too soon! I pray to God to give strength to the family of Illayaraja sir and my brother @thisisysr at this moment! Rest in peace Bhavatharini.”

 

 

Lakshmi Manchu added, “Too shocked Too numb Too disgusted that you left so soon. This is so wrong! I hope you are with your favourite amma now. Laughing and shopping and singing. Bye da Bhavata. Sleep… rest in eternal peace ????see you on the other side.”

 

 

Simran Bagga also wrote, “Shocked and saddened by the passing away of Bhavatharini ??Sending heartfelt condolences and prayers to Raja sir & the family during this difficult time. Om Shanti”

 

 

Actor-filmmaker Prasanna shared, “It's absolutely sickening to  know the passing away of #Bhavatharini .my heart goes out to #isaignani Ilayaraja sir and family.  May she rest in peace.”
