In a shocking announcement that has sent shockwaves through the K-pop community, SM Entertainment has confirmed the departure of Taeil from the popular boy group NCT. The decision comes in the wake of serious allegations of a sexual offence levied against the singer.

In a statement released on August 28, the agency acknowledged that Taeil had been involved in a criminal case related to a sexual offence. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, SM Entertainment determined that Taeil's continued involvement with NCT was no longer tenable. After careful deliberation and discussions with the artist, the decision was made to terminate his membership in the group.

 

 

 

"We have recently learned of allegations against Taeil related to a criminal case," SM Entertainment stated, as reported by Soompi. "Given the severity of these allegations, we believe it is crucial to prioritize the well-being of all parties involved. After thorough consideration, we have concluded that Taeil's continued participation in NCT is not appropriate."

 

While the specific details of the allegations remain undisclosed, SM Entertainment assured that Taeil is fully cooperating with the ongoing police investigation. The agency has pledged to provide updates as the investigation progresses.
