Meryl Streep has joined the star cast of Only Murders in the Building season 3 in an undisclosed role. The announcement was made by series star Selena Gomez in a video posted to social media.

Meanwhile, series regular Steve Martin also shared the exciting news on Twitter writing, "The filming of Season 3 of 'Only Murders in the Building' has begun! A cast to dream of." The actor also shared a happy black and white photo of Streep and Martin alongside Martin Short, Selena Gomez and new costar Paul Rudd.

 

 

 

As Variety notes, Season 3 will pick up as Charles, Oliver and Mabel work to figure out who killed Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd). The Season 2 finale saw Glenroy die onstage while performing in a Broadway play opposite Charles and directed by Oliver.

 

Martin co-created Only Murders in the Building with John Hoffman. Martin, Hoffman, Martin Short and Gomez executive produce alongside Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal.
