“Shraddha Kapoor as an actor will be known before and after Eetha”: Dinesh Vijan makes a BIG claim at trailer launch; JOKES about Ajay-Atul: "Ajay sir has taken Saridon’s subscription because of me!"
Shraddha Kapoor, Randeep Hooda, music director duo Ajay-Atul, producer Dinesh Vijan and director Laxman Utekar attended the trailer launch of Eetha at a single-screen cinema hall in Mumbai. The event began almost three hours late, causing inconvenience to the attendees. Once the event finally got underway, Dinesh Vijan took to the stage and showered praise on Shraddha Kapoor and the other members of the team.
Looking at Shraddha Kapoor, Dinesh Vijan said, “Eetha, you have given this film everything. Everybody here loves you.” This led to fans hooting and cheering for their favourite actress. Dinesh continued, “However, Shraddha as an actor will be known before and after Eetha! I also feel that her partnership with director Laxman Utekar is just brilliant.”
Dinesh remarked, “There’s something that changed in Shraddha between Stree (2018) and Stree 2 (2024). I don’t know what it is. She was almost a different person on the set on Stree 2 compared to its first part. But I have to tell you that the conviction of casting comes from the director in our company. Laxman Utekar was completely convinced that only Shraddha can play this role.”
Dinesh added, “Randeep Hooda is the best-kept secret of this film. He’s an unbelievable actor. We are often told, ‘Trailer mein sab dikha diya’. However, in Eetha, we have purposely tried not to give out the story. We have tried to give you the vibe of the film and not really the film, so that you enjoy it in theatres as this film is meant for a theatrical experience.”
He continued, “This is my first collaboration with Ajay-Atul. Maine inko trailer ke liye bahut tang kiya hain (laughs). Ajay sir has taken Saridon’s subscription because of me!”
On a serious note, Dinesh Vijan stated, “It’s been an enriching experience working with Ajay-Atul. The way they understand India, Maharashtra and the culture and the amount of respect you have for it, there are very few such technicians. They are national treasures.”
He also assured, “After watching Eetha, every man will be proud of his mother, his daughter and his wife!”
Eetha releases in cinemas on December 4.
