Mumtaz says Pakistani artists are “talented” and deserve opportunities in India after meeting Fawad Khan, Ghulam Ali, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

Veteran actress Mumtaz has reignited the debate surrounding the ban on Pakistani artists in India. In a recent interview with Times Now, Mumtaz expressed her support for allowing Pakistani artists to work in India, following a visit to Pakistan where she met with several prominent figures from the Pakistani entertainment industry such as Fawad Khan, Ghulam Ali, and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, among others.

Mumtaz's trip to Pakistan was documented on her Instagram account, showcasing interactions with actors like Fawad Khan and musicians like Ghulam Ali and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The actress spoke fondly of the hospitality she received, stating, "It was overwhelming...Everywhere I went, people came forward to shower me and my sister with love and gifts."

 

Mumtaz's positive experience extended to the artistic community. She praised Pakistani artists, calling them "talented" and advocating for their inclusion in Bollywood productions. "They should be allowed to come and work here. They are talented. I agree we have no dearth of talent in the Mumbai film industry.
