Binny And Family finds new audience on Prime Video; Jackie Shroff, Jacqueline Fernandez and others show support

Binny And Family has begun finding renewed attention following its release on Amazon Prime Video, where it started streaming on January 13, 2026. The family drama, which originally released in theatres in September 2024, had earned appreciation for its clean and feel-good narrative. With its arrival on streaming, the film is now reaching viewers who may have missed it during its theatrical run, prompting fresh conversations and recommendation posts on social media.

Adding to the visibility of the film is the support it has received from members of the film and television industry. Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali shared the film’s “watch now” message on social media, helping draw attention to its streaming availability. Actor Hina Khan also encouraged audiences to watch the film, describing it as a “light-hearted, entertaining, family film” and suggesting it as a suitable weekend watch for families.

 

Jacqueline Fernandez joined the list of celebrities acknowledging the film’s streaming release, writing that she “can’t wait to watch this,” a message that was publicly acknowledged by the makers. Actors Sonu Sood and Rupali Ganguly also amplified the film’s digital launch through their posts. Veteran actor Jackie Shroff offered a stronger endorsement, calling the film a “little gem” and describing it as “highly recommended.”

 

 

Directed by Ssanjay Tripaathy, Binny And Family stars Anjini Dhawan as Bindiya “Binny” Singh. The ensemble cast also includes Pankaj Kapur, Rajesh Kumar, Charu Shankar, Himani Shivpuri and Naman Tripathy. The film is produced by Mahaveer Jain Films and Wavebrand Productions, and presented by Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, along with Shashank Khaitan and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba.

 

The story revolves around a young, rebellious teenager living in London whose routine life is disrupted when her traditional grandparents arrive from India. The resulting generational and cultural clashes lead to moments of conflict, gradually giving way to understanding and emotional bonding.

 

Notably, shortly after the film’s theatrical release in 2025, Mahaveer Jain Films had announced Binny And Family 2. With the film now gaining wider reach on streaming and drawing attention through celebrity support, the sequel announcement is expected to gain further momentum in the coming months.
