Any discussion on Gully Boy is incomplete without the mention of Vijay Varma, who played Ranveer Singh's best friend in the film. Even after 2 years, Moeen Arif is still remembered. The impactful character was adored by one and all and Vijay Varma was applauded immensely for his brilliance and acting prowess. Vijay said smiling, "I honestly cannot imagine that it has been 2 years to Gully Boy. One of the best times of my life was prepping for Moeen and shooting as him."

While Vijay gave his best to Gully Boy, the film put him on the map overnight, touting him as a spectacular find by Zoya Akhtar according to the industry experts. fans rooted for their beloved performer.  Meanwhile, filmmakers recognised Vijay Varma's talent and queued up to sign him on and his fanbase has been increasing rapidly, including rapper, Divine who recently announced on his social media that Vijay Varma was his favourite actor.

 

Gully Boy was the turning point in Vijay's career as he added, “I felt, I got the recognition that I have worked hard for. I’ve had great films and shows since and even now, I’m working on multiple projects that I’ll be headlining so it has been quite a way up ever since this film."

 

 

 

Soon after Gully Boy released, Vijay was seen in a spate of series like She, A Suitable Boy, Mirzapur 2, Ghost Stories and others. Today he stands tall amongst the most sought after actors in B-town.

 

His upcoming films speak volumes of the success he's achieved over the last two years. As per reports of upcoming projects, they not just boast of big banners and exciting scripts but also have some noteworthy co-stars. He will reportedly be seen in Darlings alongside Alia Bhatt, Ok Computer along with Radhika Apte, Hurdang along with Nushrratt Bharuccha and Sunny Kaushal and Fallen with Sonakshi Sinha.

 

Even after 2 years of Gully Boy's release, Moeen is fresh in our memories. That goes on to prove what a phenomenal performance was given by Vijay in Gully Boy.
