Co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, the film was all about the modern day women and talked about various struggles as well. One year later, the Veeres are celebrating their film.

Sonam Kapoor, on the special occasion, took to her Instagram to share memorable moments with her Veeres. She wrote, "One year since @vdwthefilm released. I’ve made life long friendships with these amazing women. Love you my veeres. Also @rheakapoor you broke the glass ceiling with a fucking hammer unapologetically. I love you and I’m so proud of you. Thank you @ektaravikapoor for being such a girl boss, you are an inspiration. @ghoshshashanka you always bring out the bestest in me.. can’t wait to do another amazing film with you. Not just Sonam, even Rhea Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Shikha Talsania shared some amazing moments to celebrate the one year anniversary of their successful film.
