Box Office: Dangal screens reduced to half, collects Rs. 1.94 crores on Friday

 

In its fourth week, the screens have reduced to almost half for Dangal when compared to the week before. Due to Ok Jaanu and xXx: Return of Xander Cage arriving on Friday, there was huge reduction in number of shows for the Aamir Khan starrer. That said, the film had collected Rs. 2.97 crores on Thursday and in comparison to that, the fall isn't very huge. Moreover, since neither Ok Jaanu nor xXx: Return of Xander Cage have seen fabulous reviews or word of mouth coming their way, the Nitesh Tiwari directed film still has chance to see growth over Saturday and Sunday.

 

As a matter of fact it is all set to see a much bigger growth when compared to Ok Jaanu since it is a set film which is catering to the family audiences (who would come to theatres today and tomorrow).

 

So far, Dangal has collected 361.81 crore and while 7 crore more is definitely on the cards between Saturday and Sunday, it would be interesting to see if the 370 crore mark is surpassed as well before the weekdays begin.
