Pakistan lifts ban on Dostana; the film gets released in Lahore
Rakesh Roshan had a special screening of his latest flick KOI... MIL GAYA for Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, Dy. Prime Minister L.K. Advani, I. & B. Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and their families on Saturday, August 2 in New Delhi. And the reactions after the screening ended were overwhelming.
"Atal-ji, Advani-ji and Ravi-ji simply loved the film," Rakesh Roshan tells me, "The kids present at the screening also went ga-ga over the film." While the compliments kept flowing throughout the evening, the one compliment that came Hrithik's way, touched the hearts of the entire Roshan clan... and it came from none other than the Prime Minister himself.
Reportedly, the Prime Minister told Hrithik, "Bahut jaldi bade ho gaye [you've matured overnight as an actor]." Even the I. & B. Minister was full of praise for the Sr. Roshan. "You've had the guts to make a path-breaking film," he told the maker.
And as soon as the Roshans landed in Mumbai, they proceeded for Shirdi to seek Sai Baba's blessings.
