Arjun Kapoor signs R Balki's rom-com

After Tevar which was one of the first releases of the year, Arjun Kapoor didn't sign any new film. However, now it seems that the actor has finally found the kind of script he has been looking for. Arjun Kapoor will be teaming up with none other than R Balki, who last directed Shamitabh that released in February.

Surprisingly, it is the first time that R. Balki has paired up with a Gen Y star since his previous films (Paa, Cheeni Kum, Shamitabh) had Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. On the other hand, Arjun Kapoor is too stepping into a new zone of romantic comedy, considering that most of his past films had him playing an angry young rebel. Moreover, from what we hear, R Balki is also on a lookout for an established actress to play the female lead.

 

Though most of the details about the film have been kept under wraps, it is being said that this light-hearted film is slated to go on floor this year.
