Actress Krithi Shetty has completed the first shooting schedule of her upcoming film Hum Tere Pyaar Mein, marking an important step towards her Bollywood debut as a leading lady. The romantic drama, presented by filmmaker Rohit Shetty and AVS Studios in association with Tudip Entertainment, has wrapped up a 20-day outdoor schedule in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The team is now preparing to move to Mumbai for the next phase of filming.
The film went on floors on October 15, 2026, following a visit by the team to Tirupati Temple to seek blessings. The makers also shared the official clapperboard from the launch of the project. During the Shimla schedule, Rohit Shetty had offered a glimpse of the picturesque location on social media and extended his wishes to his longtime associate Vidhi Ghodgaonkar, who is making her feature directorial debut with the film.
With the Himachal Pradesh leg now complete, Krithi Shetty and the primary cast and crew are expected to return to Mumbai. The upcoming schedule will focus on interior sequences and portions set in an urban environment, which will be filmed on sets. The production is expected to continue across subsequent schedules over the coming months as the makers work towards a theatrical release in 2027.
Hum Tere Pyaar Mein has also attracted attention with its casting announcements. Veteran actress Bhagyashree and Tum Bin actor Priyanshu Chatterjee have joined the film in pivotal roles, adding to the ensemble led by Krithi. The project marks a significant transition for the actress, who established herself across South Indian cinema with films such as Uppena, Bangarraju and Custody. Her casting in the romantic entertainer will introduce her to a wider Hindi-speaking theatrical audience.
The film also marks the directorial debut of Vidhi Ghodgaonkar, who has been associated with Rohit Shetty’s creative team for over 17 years. During this period, she has contributed to several of the filmmaker’s projects, including Golmaal 3, Singham, Chennai Express, Dilwale and Golmaal Again. Her experience of working on these productions precedes her first feature film as a director.
Bankrolled by Abhishek S. Vyas and Dipti Agarwal, with Priyanka Chaudhary serving as co-producer, Hum Tere Pyaar Mein is being positioned as an old-school musical romance set against a contemporary backdrop. While details about the storyline remain under wraps, the film’s combination of romance and music forms the central premise of the project.
For Krithi, the film represents her first major step into mainstream Hindi cinema, while its completion will mark a new chapter for Ghodgaonkar behind the camera. Following the Shimla schedule, the production will continue in Mumbai before moving through its remaining filming and post-production stages ahead of its planned nationwide theatrical release in 2027.
