Filmmaker Anil Sharma has shared a special update from the sets of his upcoming directorial Arjun Naga, offering a glimpse into the ongoing shoot and revealing that a song featuring music by Himesh Reshammiya has been filmed. Known for directing films such as Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and Gadar 2, Sharma took to social media to share a photograph from the set along with a note reflecting his experience of working on the project.
In his post, Anil Sharma wrote, “Shenshah se less nahi hota director set par .. ya jab aadmi ke dil ka kam ho toh woh uss woqt apne dil ka Badsaha hota hai (A director is no less than an emperor on set. And when a person is doing work that comes from the heart, they are the king of their own heart at that moment).. while shooting #ARJUNNAGA .. feeling the same .. we shot a song great music by #HIMESHRESHMIYA.”
The behind-the-scenes glimpse has added to the curiosity surrounding Arjun Naga, which is being developed as a period action drama. The film stars Utkarsh Sharma in the titular role, with Arjun Rampal playing the primary antagonist. Randeep Hooda and Celina Jaitly are also part of the ensemble cast.

Envisioned as a four-part cinematic saga, the project is set against the backdrop of Dubai’s oil rush in the 1960s. Its story traces the region’s transformation following the oil discoveries of 1966, while following a protagonist who rises from extreme poverty to become a powerful and wealthy figure amid intense power struggles.
Produced under the banner of Anil Sharma Productions, the first instalment is currently being filmed across Mumbai, Rajasthan and international locations. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release in 2027.
With shooting underway and a song featuring Reshammiya’s music now filmed, Sharma’s latest social media update offers a small look at the production as the team works towards bringing the ambitious saga to the big screen.
