Adjectives are now running out for Dhurandhar. When collections in the second weekend turn out to bigger than the first weekend, which itself was high, then one can well imagine the phenomenon that a film is becoming. This is what’s being seen with this Aditya Dhar film that has smashed a 50 on its 9th day, a feat that no film in Indian history has ever done.
A massive Rs. 53.70 crores have come on Saturday and that’s much bigger than even the first Sunday which stood at Rs. 44.80 crores. Nothing like this has ever happened before but that’s indeed the case with this Ranveer Singh led film which is now everywhere in the national media as well. To be occupying screen space on entertainment media is expected from a Bollywood film but when national media joins the party as well and there are debates and discussions 24X7 then you know that there is going to be no looking back.
That has now also ensured that the film has entered the Rs. 300 Crore Club and that too in just 9 days. Currently standing at Rs. 306.40 crores, the film has now defied all pre-release expectations and can go anywhere. Sunday is already booked out and is facing capacity issues despite playing at majority of screens. While Rs. 60 crores is confirmed for today, it can cover a much larger distance too. It’s heading for an ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER status and the weekdays to come would be mind-blowing as well.
