Sanjeeda is making a special appearance in the Yash-led film. However, details about her character and her connection to the larger story have been kept closely guarded.
A source close to the film has now suggested that her role could be more significant than her billing indicates. “Sanjeeda’s character is one of those pieces of the story that we’ve intentionally kept under wraps. Although she comes in as a special appearance, her character has a crucial role to play and is deeply connected to the film’s central narrative. Her significance will become clear as the story unfolds,” the source said.
The trailer offers only brief glimpses of Sanjeeda, without clearly establishing her character's identity or motivations. Her distinctive appearance and demeanour have nevertheless made her presence noticeable.
Sanjeeda has a busy slate
The mystery surrounding her role comes at a busy phase in Sanjeeda's career. The actress was recently seen in Dhamaal 4 and Ikka, and is also part of Jeevan Bheema Yojna.
With Toxic arriving in theatres this week, her role in the film adds another layer of curiosity to an already anticipated release.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups stars Yash in the lead role alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on August 26, 2026.
