It was announced some time back that Tamil superstar Dhanush and Malayalam cinema legend Mammootty are coming together for OM: Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood. Bringing two of South Indian cinema’s most celebrated stars together, the film aims to be a grand theatrical spectacle that transcends languages.
At the centre of this ambitious vision is producer Shraddha Agrawal, Founder of RTake Studios, whose conviction has been instrumental in bringing this formidable collaboration to life. With OM: Chapter 1, Shraddha is championing a vision where powerful storytelling, exceptional talent and theatrical grandeur come together.
Speaking exclusively about bringing the two icons together, Shraddha Agrawal said, “As a producer, our vision has always been to create cinema that brings people, industries and audiences together on a larger scale. Bringing Dhanush sir and Mammootty sir together for OM: Chapter 1 is a proud and incredibly special moment for RTake Studios. Both are extraordinary artists with immense legacies, and creating a platform for these two powerhouses to share the screen has been an exciting journey. We want audiences to experience the scale, emotion and grandeur of this collaboration in theatres, and I believe this coming together will be truly memorable.”
Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, OM: Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood features an impressive ensemble cast including Dhanush, Mammootty, Sai Pallavi, Sreeleela, Naseeruddin Shah and Indrans, with music composed by Sai Abhyankkar.
