Sonakshi Sinha, the new girl in town, who took everyone's heart away with her debut film Dabangg, took the crowd at LFW by storm as well. She was the showstopper for Narendra Kumar Ahmed who showcased his line of torn, distressed, washed denim jeans, regulars, jodhpurs and skinnies. Sonakshi wore black skinnies, frill top, hat, funky glares and rocked to the song 'Tick Tock' by Kesha.
The Luck actress surely got lucky. Shruti Haasan walked the ramp this Lakme Fashion Week for none other than Puneet Nanda who showcased his collection which was inspired by the tarot card collection! Colours like emerald, royal blue, fuchsia, red, with earthy gold and tan moved onto fabrics. Shruti wore a striking blue toned sari with a stunning border with a long sleeved net choli. A striking dress indeed!
Designer Rajat Tangri wouldn't have chosen anyone but the lovely Koena Mitra to be his showstopper. Tangri who showcased his 'Vintage Romance' collection had a gracious mix of matte gold, midnight blues and monochrome black. This svelte lady wore black shimmering mini with pink edging. Very edgy indeed!
Another singer who took to ramp this Fashion Week was none other than Shaan. He was the showstopper for Troy Costa, who showcased a mix of evening gowns, cocktail drapes, tailored suits and shift dresses. Shaan set the tone for the show as he launched into "Where do I begin" from Love Story as he walked the ramp with his wife in a shimmery black suit.
Chitrangda Singh's beauty is outstanding. No wonder then, that Arpan Vohra chose her as the showstopper for his show. Arpan's collection was an ode to old Bollywood glamour. Lots of sequins, shimmer and crystal work. Chitrangda walked down wearing an intricately worked bodice, tulle skirt teamed with sheer churidar. The beauty and grace with which the lady carried the outfit was simply outstanding.
