Park Seo Joon, a popular South Korean actor, has recently been linked to American actress Lauren Tsai. The rumors sparked after netizens spotted the pair in Japan and social media posts hinting at a possible relationship. However, Park Seo Joon's agency, Awesome ENT, has issued a cautious response, avoiding confirmation of their relationship status.
According to international outlet Soompi, the speculation began with photos circulating online that appeared to show Park Seo Joon on a trip in Japan with an unidentified woman. Fans were quick to identify the woman as Lauren Tsai, known for her roles in Terrace House: Aloha State and Marvel's Legion. This, coupled with seemingly coinciding Instagram posts from both stars featuring the same location, fueled the dating rumors.
Awesome ENT, Park’s agency, responded to the reports with a statement acknowledging Park Seo Joon's recent attendance at a brand event in Japan. They clarified that “artists and related individuals of diverse fields” were invited to the event, leaving room for the possibility that Park and Tsai might have crossed paths there professionally. The agency maintained its stance of not commenting on Park Seo Joon's personal life, stating, “We ask for your understanding in not being able to provide confirmation on any aspects of his personal life beyond information about his official activities.”
This isn't the first time Park Seo Joon has been associated with dating rumours. Previously, there was speculation about his involvement with YouTuber Xooos. However, similar to the current situation, neither party confirmed the rumours, leaving fans to wonder about his relationship status.
At the press conference of Concrete Utopia last year, Park Seo Joon was asked about his then-dating rumour. He said in Korean, “I heard that there was such news belatedly as there is a project I’m currently filming now. The first thought I had was, ‘A lot of people are interested in me.'”
He continued, “I’m grateful for the attention, but in my case, I tend to feel greatly burdened by opening up my private life [to the public], and since this is a personal matter, I think it will be difficult for me to particularly comment.”
Park Seo Joon, known for his roles in popular dramas like What's Wrong with Secretary Kim and Itaewon Class, is currently gearing up for the second season of Gyeongseong Creature on Netflix with Han So Hee and the variety show Jinny's Kitchen 2.
