A sequel to the iconic Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire is on the horizon, courtesy of Bridge7, the newly launched production banner from Swati Shetty and Grant Kessman. The production duo secured rights for both a film sequel and a television adaptation in a deal with the U.K.-based Celador, the original producer of the 2008 hit alongside Film4.

It also earned seven BAFTA Awards, four Golden Globes, and widespread critical acclaim.
