Ranveer Singh has immortalised the character of Alauddin Khilji after playing the anti-hero with much aplomb and panache. He has stolen our hearts even as a villain and has got all the praise for the same from critics as well as masses. While we are still in Padmavaat hangover, it seems the film has left a lasting effect on Ranveer too. Another aspect which stood out for us in the film was the sizzling chemistry between Jim Sarbh and Ranveer. On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, one cannot not notice this unconventional Bollywood couple. In the flick, Alauddin is shown as a bisexual and Malik Kafur, played by Jim, is his a sort of sex slave.
Jim’s character is totally attracted to Alauddin and makes no bones about it. From his wayward glances to singing a love duet (‘Bin Te Dil’) this couple puts any other conventional filmy Jodi to shame! So, Jim shared his introductory still from the movie where he is clad in white and has a deadly knife in his hand. Ranveer was prompt to reply to this and wrote, ‘Sex Panther’.
Now, this comment did not go unnoticed by the rest of Bollywood walas. Pad Man actress Radhika Apte wrote, “Wink” on the same! Aww, these two sure are #CoupleGoals. Never has homosexuality being celebrated so unabashedly in Bollywood before. We are so impressed with both Jim and Ranveer for bringing alive the characters of Allaudin and Malik Kafur oh-so-effortlessly in front us.”
Ranveer Singh is currently working on Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. He will be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba and Kabir Khan’s 1983 next. His Padmaavat has set box office registers ringing and is running in packed houses even after three weeks of release.
