Filmmaker Suresh Triveni recently opened up about collaborating with actor and writer Aditya Rawal, recalling how he first discovered the young performer during the pandemic while watching the film Bamfaad. Reflecting on Rawal’s evolving journey in the industry, Triveni highlighted the qualities that make him stand out among the new generation of performers.
Speaking about his first impression of Rawal, Triveni said, “I first saw Aditya Rawal in Bamfaad during the Covid pandemic. I was immediately struck by his presence in front of the camera. When I met him, I discovered he was a writer as well. I was working on Jalsa at the time, and we began developing a screenplay in parallel based on one of his ideas. From day one, I was certain that I wanted to collaborate with him on something.”
The filmmaker further spoke about Rawal’s work ethic and creative temperament while collaborating on projects including Subedaar. According to Triveni, the young actor brings both discipline and curiosity to the table, making him a strong collaborator on and off screen.
“He is one of the most sincere team players I have worked with. Whether as a writer or an actor, it is his discipline and maturity that set him apart. He is a chameleon when it comes to adapting to characters. A mind full of questions, he is vocal and yet remarkably quiet and shy at the same time,” he said.
With such strong creative synergy already established, the collaboration between Triveni and Rawal has drawn attention within the industry, with many believing the partnership could lead to more ambitious, character-driven stories in the future.
As Subedaar trends on Amazon Prime Video, Triveni’s work continues to generate strong audience interest. The filmmaker is also set for his upcoming project Maa Behen, which stars Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit and forms part of Netflix’s upcoming slate.
With momentum building around the filmmaker’s current and upcoming projects, the possibility of Triveni and Rawal eventually bringing their parallel screenplay idea to life only adds to the intrigue around what the filmmaker might explore next.
