Puja Gupta happy with a ‘comfortable start’ in F.A.L.T.U : Bollywood News

For F.A.L.T.U, the brief for debutant Puja Gupta was quite simple - 'Play yourself, look good and act reasonably well'. No extraordinary histrionics were demanded from her and as the film is progressing towards its April 1 release, Puja is celebrating her start with a campus entertainer with an element of love story to it.

"The film's focus is on students though there is a love angle to it as well. Pooja knew it all along that what was expected out of her", says a senior crew member from F.A.L.T.U. , "Also, this isn't the kind of film where the leading lady had to be a seasoned or an experienced actor. You require a Priyanka Chopra for 7 Khoon Maaf since she has an array of films behind her but for F.A.L.T.U. , it is fine to have a fresh face like Puja since she is just starting off."

The source further goes on to add, "For Dabangg, did Sonakshi ask Salman about her role despite playing his love interest? No new actor or actress questions the makers much around his/her part in the film. They do rely upon the judgment of those who are showing confidence in them."

As for Puja's entry into Bollywood, the source adds, "Even Madhuri and Katrina had a relatively easy start before they made a place for themselves in the industry. It is all about bagging the best opportunities and Puja is glad that she is all over the film's promotion today. The point is to get noticed. Once your first film is a success, sky is the limit."

On questioned if he felt responsible for Puja's launch in the industry, film's producer Vashu Bhagnani says, "Of course I have to feel responsible; after all it my moral obligation to give her a good platform. For this film the requirement is for a girl to look good and act decently. Puja is fantastic in these departments. Our job is to make her feel comfortable. Now it's on her to make a career out of this start and create a name for her as well as us."

At her end, Puja too is making light of the situation. "It is so difficult to get a start in Bollywood and also it is very important to work with a good production house. I am more than glad to be launched in F.A.L.T.U. I am quite happy to have got a start here."

Guess Madhuri, Katrina and Sonakshi would approve too!
