BTS kick off Thanksgiving week with ‘Life Goes On’ performance on Good Morning America

It's been the most perfect weekend for BTS and their fans (ARMY) as the group dropped the highly anticipated studio album 'BE (Deluxe Edition)' on November 20. The global superstars gave two performances at the American Music Awards 2020. On Monday, they began the promotions in the US with Good Morning America.

Performing the title track 'Life Goes On', BTS kicked off the Thanksgiving week in America with a healing performance. The cozy home set with comfortable outfits, the septet RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook - brought homely feels to the performance. At the end of the shot, they gathered around the dinner table celebrating togetherness.

When asked during the interview how quarantining together has been like for them, RM said, "We are doing our best. We just had our virtual concert, we are in our studios, making music, that's all we could do." Furthermore, he said, "So this album 'BE' and the single 'Dynamite' wouldn't even be here without the pandemic. If there was no pandemic, we'd have been tour and go to MetLife, Chicago, and everywhere."

Adding to that, Jimin said, "We wanted to deliver a message of hope to the world" while speaking about the thought behind their latest album. Though they are staying connected with the fans via social media, Jungkook said, "We can't wait to meet you again, ARMY."

Speaking of connecting with fans, V told GMA, "We miss you ARMY. We connect with them (ARMY) on weverse but we want to meet them in person."

Later, in the day, they performed 'Dynamite'.

On Sunday night, BTS performed their chart-topping single 'Dynamite' and title track from the latest album 'Life Goes On' at the American Music Awards 2020. Hosted by actress Taraji P. Henson, the awards night took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. BTS were nominated in two categories - Favorite Social Artist and Favourite Duo Or Group - Pop Rock and they took home both the awards, respectively.

After releasing the official music video of the title track 'Life Goes On' on Friday morning, the second video was released on Saturday (which is 12 am KST). The lead single belongs to the Alternative Hip Hop genre with sentimental acoustic guitar sounds captivating the ears of the listeners. The lyrics echo a comforting message in the face of unexpected turns and abrupt disruption: “Life goes on”. Anyone who has been through 2020 can easily relate to this song delivered through BTS’ emotional voice. The music videos have been directed by Jungkook.
