Anupam Kher opts for an autorickshaw in Delhi as he heads towards screening of Shiv Shastri Balboa

Anupam Kher rides an autorickshaw as he attends the premiere of Shiv Shastri Balboa. The film is slated to release on February 10, 2023.

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher is currently busy in promoting his upcoming film Shiv Shastri Balboa. On Sunday afternoon, the actor was in Delhi heading for screening of his film. He left for the film's premiere; however, he had no choice but to board an autorickshaw in Delhi due to the dense traffic. Anupam greeted the driver after getting out of the auto and then proceeded to Connaught Place to see the movie.

Anupam Kher took to his Instagram and posted the video. Sharing the clip he captioned, “कुछ भी हो सकता है: कल दिल्ली में मेरी फ़िल्म #ShivShastriBalboa की #SpecialScreening थी। ड्राइवर ने मुझे ग़लत थियेटर में उतार दिया! तो वक़्त पर पहुँचने के लिए मुझे सूट बूट में ऑटो में जाना पड़ा! बहुत मज़ा आया। #Life #KuchBhiHoSaktaHai #Humour”

The actor held a press conference earlier on Saturday where he discussed his movie, having his own face prominently shown on a movie poster, and much more. He said, “Shiv Shastri Balboa is not a cliche. It is not about a senior citizen trying to find his peace and calm. This is not a man going ‘please listen to my story’. No. He runs away from his home in a night suit to ensure Neena's character reaches the airport. Shiv Shastri Balboa is a spice of life, not slice of life.”

He also added that Shiv Shastri Balboa's characters will resonate with the viewers, “When we watch films, we often watch it like someone else's story. But with this one, I assure you everyone will identify with one or the other character.”

After being in show business for more than three decades, veteran actor Anupam Kher says his upcoming feature film Shiv Shastri Balboa is significant because it allowed him the chance to play the titular role. Anupam said, “After 38 years I have a poster for myself, and I say this with pride, not regret.” “That body on the poster is not mine. I must thank you all for thinking that could be me. Let me add that by the grace of God, my body is similar,” he further added.

The film, which was directed by Ajayan Venugopalan, is marketed as a compelling account of an Indian man's struggle for existence in a small town in America. Additionally playing significant roles in Shiv Shastri Balboa are Neena Gupta, Nargis Fakhri, and Sharib Hashmi.

Anupam Kher has many interesting projects lined up in his pipeline. The actor started working on The Vaccine War as well. This is his second collaboration with director Vivek Agnihotri after last year's blockbuster The Kashmir Files. The actor also has Kangana Ranaut's directorial Emergency. Other films are Kuch Khatta Ho Jaaye, Anurag Basu's Metro In Dino with Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan, The Signature with Mahima Chaudhry, IB71 and Nautanki.
