This week we see two contrastingly different films hitting screens with the Sidharth Malhotra - Katrina Kaif starrer Baar Baar Dekho and the Nawazuddin Siddiqui - Amy Jackson starrer Freaky Ali releasing. From the two, Baar Baar Dekho that has been making headlines since its announcement is expected to take the lead over Freaky Ali.
As expected reports state that Baar Baar Dekho has opened to a 35% occupancy rate during morning shows, however this is limited to multiplexes within metro cities. On the other hand Freaky Ali has recorded approximately 15% occupancy rate. Simultaneously, with the previous release Akira that featured Sonakshi Sinha on its last leg in theatres, the newer releases are expected to do well.
However, with mixed reviews for both Baar Baar Dekho and Freaky Ali, both films will have to rely on audience reaction and word of mouth. But, even then considering the star value attached to Baar Baar Dekho as compared to Freaky Ali, the film is expected to fare better at the box office over the weekend.
